Jane, who was late again today, sat next to me during lunch.
Jane, late again today, sat next to me during lunch.
原句:The wife, who was angry with her husband, did not return home last night.
The wife, angry with her husband, did not return home last night.
The dog which is sitting at the door is waiting for its owner.
The dog sitting at the door is waiting for its owner.
The man who lives next door teaches in a public school.
The man living next door teaches in a public school.
原句:Students who hand in the report late will lose five marks.
Students handing in the report late will lose five marks.
We all read the e-mail that was sent by the manager earlier today.
We all read the e-mail sent by the manager earlier today.
原句:Discrimination that is based on race, gender, age, or disability is not allowed.
Discrimination based on race, gender, age, or disability is not allowed.
The woman who is in the meeting room is our new team member.
The woman in the meeting room is our new team member.
此句同样出现关系代名词 + “be” 动词(who is),直接省略掉后,剩下 “in the meeting room” 就是介词词组。
原句:The two-story house that had a beautiful front yard was sold $300,000.
The two-story house with a beautiful front yard was sold $300,000.
The student who is wearing a blue jacket is a member of the science club.
- The student wearing a blue jacket is a member of the science club.
- The student in a blue jacket is a member of the science club.
原句:The lady who is standing on the stage is the newly elected mayor.
- The lady standing on the stage is the newly elected mayor.
- The lady on the stage is the newly elected mayor.
